Windy.  Actually, windy is an understatement.  It was definitely gusty out on the day of Thea and Eric’s wedding.  It was so gusty, that when we stepped outside, it almost blew us all right over…and Thea’s gorgeous, delicate organza dress flew in the wind… luckily… Thea and Eric picked a location that was gorgeous on the inside too…so we spent most of our time in doors this day…

Thea and Eric are as sweet as can be to each other.  She is definitely the sun in his sky…

Thea’s dress was so beautiful and delicate…the embellishments are couture and hand made…
Thea you made a gorgeous bride…

You have to love the wind just a little bit…
I loved these bridesmaids dresses…

The Semple Mansion is the perfect setting for a romantic, candle-lit reception…
Thea and Eric…may your love stay as strong as the wind on a gusty day…

Noelle. It’s her name.  It’s my name.  It’s our name.  It’s not often that a Noelle crosses paths with another Noelle…and given our name, there are many experiences in life that we share…just because of our name.  I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been sung to by all of those clever people out there thinking they are the first to realize that my name is in many a Christmas carol.  It is life defining.  Because of this, Noelle and I instantly fell into a total understanding from the first email 🙂  Not long after, we discovered that we are both lawyers… from the same law school… It’s amazing how many things in life you can have in common with someone who starts out as a total stranger… It’s the stuff kindred spirits are made of.  To top it all off, when my assistant Lindsay and I arrived to begin their day, she realized that she actually knew the groom quite well.  What a small world.  This was definitely a day that was meant to be.

Brian and Noelle have one of those relationships where they don’t even need to talk to communicate.  Maybe it is because they have been together for a very long time…or maybe it is just because she has a spell over him…but either way, she looks at him and he just melts.  It is a beautiful thing to watch.  He may have cried a little bit during this day…and I loved capturing every moment of it.

The entire day took place at the gorgeous Mayowood Stone Barn.  It was phenomenal.  The colors were so brilliant that day, and the weather couldn’t have been more cooperative.

Noelle’s dress was so stunning.  It had a vintage feel to it…with layers of gorgeous ivory and champagne netting and lace…my mouth dropped open when I saw it.
I was so thankful to have Lindsay’s view for this photo…it’s perfect.
Noelle found antique charms to go on each bridesmaid’s bouquet.  Lovely.
After dinner, the rain subsided and the sun started setting…this is one of those drool-worthy moments for me…I just soaked it in…as I squealed from excitement.

Brian and Noelle…you deserve all the best life has to offer, may your marriage be blessed.

Kisses. Laughter. Hugs. It’s the stuff family is made of.  And this little family is full of these things. Their session is the kind of session that makes me get a little lump in my throat.  Watching this older brother care for his little sister makes me only hope that my little ones will be this way in a few short years.  I’ve said it before, but the unexpected kisses and hugs that are given by little ones is what makes the hard days disappear…

It was an honor to photograph this family, as Tommy is a talented photographer in his own right and his business, RedCart, is solely for photographers.  If you are a photographer I highly recommend checking it out…it is an integral part of by business.

And now, I give you this beautiful little family…

These next two photos are the definition of family to me…
It’s ok buddy…accidents happen.

Bond.  James Bond.  The day started and ended with a “Bond” kind of feel…only, he’s Canadian.  Can James Bond be a Canadian?! Well, either way, he definitely succeeded with the look he was going for on his wedding day.  From his custom tux from Heimie’s to his special cufflinks, he looked very dapper. And, in the end, he married his bond girl…Lisa.

Their entire day took place at 413 on Wacouta.  It was my first time photographing in this historic building, and I loved it.  So unique and full of character…

Joe & Lisa worked with Liane from Hyacinth Events…who did all of the florals for their day.  It was quite lovely.

Lisa’s dress had subtle polkadots…can you see them?  She was so stunning…as were her flowers.
This little scene is how they are together.  It’s like they can read each other’s thoughts and no one else is there…even when they had their first kiss as husband and wife…you could tell for that moment, everyone else disappeared.
A beautiful cake to match her beautiful dress…
The room was so lovely and perfect for a fall wedding, it was cozy and intimate.
A step out onto the roof at sunset…

Last minute.  She was sort of the last minute planner on a lot of things when it came to her day…but that didn’t make a difference with how lovely it turned out. Jessica and Jason had the perfect weather kind of day.  (At least for me).  When I scream with excitement more than 100 times, you know I’m excited about what’s being captured…  so without further ado…

It was so important for Jessica to do their first look on these stairs in their home…now I see why…

Her dress was classic and sophisticated.  So perfect for her.  She is beautiful.
There are moments as a photographer where the light is perfect…this was one of them…

This next photo is one of my all time favorite photos…ever.
Both the ceremony and reception took place at the TPC Twin Cities…it was perfection.
Even their nightshot had the perfect moonlight setting…sigh.
Jessica and Jason, may you two always laugh together.
