Fishtale Photography » Tales of Life. Tales of Love.

Busy and neglectful.  Yes, that’s right. I’ve been busy editing like a mad woman every spare moment I get and have been neglecting my poor blog.  But, I wanted to give you a taste of what we’ve been up to…so, I thought I’d post a sneak peak from our three most recent engagement shoots…

Rob & Laura… need I say more!?…talk about romantic…
Scott & Liz…these two could not be more perfect for each other (and don’t you dare scroll past this picture without looking at her amazing shoes…I’m serious)…
Matt & Angelina…they are so adorable…so fun….AND so deserving of praise for letting me drag them through the 90 degree heat and dripping humidity while managing to remain in good humor all while looking fantastic…
And finally…and I know you’ve been waiting for it…here’s the theme song for today’s pictures:
Come and knock on our door…..
We’ve been waiting for you……
Where the kisses are hers and hers and his,
Three’s company too.

Come and dance on on our floor……
Take a step that is new…..
We’ve a loveable space that needs your face,
Three’s company too.

You’ll see that life is a frolic and laughter is calling for you……
Down at our rendez-vous,
Three’s company, too!!!!!!

i carry your heart with me(i carry it in
my heart)i am never without it(anywhere
i go you go,my dear;and whatever is done
by only me is your doing,my darling)
i fear
no fate(for you are my fate,my sweet)i want
no world(for beautiful you are my world,my true)
and it’s you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you
here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows
higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that’s keeping the stars apart
i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart)

Kate Botwinski - Noelle! This is my all time favorite poem. I was so happy to see that you used it, isn’t it just lovely? I first discovered it in the movie “In Her Shoes”, have you seen it? Maybe we need an editing/ movie night together. I would love it!

Mary Cummings - Noelle! That is one of my favorite poems ever! Can’t wait to get together tomorrow night!

Simple.  Sincere.  Sweet. They have a quiet way of showing their love for one another.

Heidi and John are awesome.  Not only are they both in the field of helping people (he’s a doctor and she works in the social field) but they are so humble about what they do!  They are amazing and we cannot wait to photograph their wedding in August.

Heidi has some of the nicest hair I have seen!  I had to adjust it several times during the shoot…and every time I touched it, I had to say something about her awesome hair….hair envy….girls – I know you know what I mean…!
One of my all-time favorite movies is Coneheads.  Thank you for reminding me of my favorite movie, Heidi.  🙂

Doctors.  Doctors?  Yeah, doctors!  They’re both doctors!  Smart, articulate, and so cute together, Johannah and Ryan are amazing.  And, did I mention they’re both doctors?! Not only do they both have what it takes to be phenomenal doctors, but they also have a philanthropic side.  They have each traveled around different areas of the world, providing the less fortunate a better life.  If only our world had more people like the two of them…
When Johannah and Ryan contacted us to photograph their wedding, we were so excited. They are getting married at the absolutely beautiful arboretum in Chaska.  If you can believe it or not, until this past weekend, I had never been to the arboretum.  If you haven’t been there yet, I highly recommend it.  I am so excited to take my camera out there and shoot away.  Everywhere you turn, a scene is just begging for its picture to be taken.
We took these engagement photographs a little while ago, but after getting together with Johannah and Ryan today to discuss the upcoming nuptials, I just had to post a few of them for fun!

AHHH!!! Could these two be any cuter??  Ryan is so sweet to Johannah…can’t you just see it?

They’re runners.  The kind of runners who have the dedication that most people will never understand.  And, they’re totally dedicated to each other.  So dedicated, that she moved half way across the country so they could be together.  They met through running…and now they’ve run marathons together all over the country!
Ben & Candice are awesome and so perfect together.  He looks at her and she giggles.  When Ben smiles, you can’t help but smile too. No wonder he won Candice’s heart!  Ben and Candice originally approached us to photograph their engagement photos…before they set a date!  Candice had the guy, she had the dress, but they were waiting to work out a day to tie the knot….well, they finally picked a date in October and we couldn’t be more excited to photograph their day!
I wish there were old cars laying around in all the places we photograph!!
